Handling has been one of my favorite parts of owning it. The grip feels secure in my hands, and the controls are laid out in a way that lets me adjust settings without constantly taking my eye away from the viewfinder. It has a substantial feel without becoming awkward during a long day out.
Photos have a very natural look straight from the camera, with plenty of detail and good tonal range. I have been especially pleased with how much flexibility the files give me when I want to make adjustments later. Fine textures hold up nicely, and colors have a pleasing character without looking overly processed.
Low-light use has also impressed me. I can raise the ISO when conditions get dim and still come away with usable results, which has made evening walks and indoor photography much less frustrating. The in-body stabilization is another practical benefit, especially when I am shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds.
Focus acquisition has been dependable for the subjects I photograph, including people moving around casually and pets that refuse to sit still. Tracking helps keep up when a subject changes position, while the responsive controls make it easy to take over when I want more direct control.
Video has become another reason I reach for it. There are plenty of settings available for more serious recording, while the body still feels manageable for everyday clips. Having strong still and video capabilities in one camera has made it easier to travel without bringing separate bodies for different types of shooting.
Battery life has been suitable for my normal outings, and the body feels sturdy enough for regular use rather than something I have to handle delicately. Menus offer a lot to explore, but once I set up my preferred buttons and controls, daily operation became much more natural.
I have used it for portraits, travel, indoor scenes, and general everyday photography, and it has handled each situation without feeling limited. There is a learning curve because the camera offers so much control, yet the effort has paid off for me. It has become a dependable part of my kit and one I am happy to take along when I know I will be photographing for several hours.
