Detail is where this camera earns its place in my kit. I use it mainly for landscapes, architecture, and portraits, and the 61-megapixel sensor gives me plenty of room to crop without losing the fine textures I want to preserve. Brickwork, tree branches, and small details in clothing come through with impressive clarity when I take the time to focus carefully. Files are large, so I had to make a few adjustments to my storage and editing routine, but the extra flexibility in post-processing has been worth it.
In daily use, the grip feels secure, the buttons are sensibly arranged, and I can customize the controls to suit how I photograph. The electronic viewfinder is clear, while the rear screen makes reviewing shots and navigating menus comfortable. I appreciate being able to change settings quickly without digging through menus every time the light or subject changes. The body feels solid enough for regular outdoor outings, and the weather-resistant construction gives me some reassurance when conditions become less predictable.
Tracking moving subjects is dependable, particularly for portraits and casual action, and eye detection helps me keep attention on expression rather than constantly checking focus manually. Low-light results are also pleasing when I expose carefully, with good detail and color in scenes around dusk or indoors near a window. Dynamic range gives me useful room to recover shadow detail and manage bright skies during editing. For handheld photography, I still pay attention to shutter speed, especially when making the most of the high-resolution sensor.
Battery life has been practical for my usual outings, although I keep a spare charged for longer days when reviewing photos and using wireless features more frequently. Video is useful for occasional clips, but photography is where I get the most value from the body. The large files do demand a capable computer and some patience during transfers, so it is not the easiest choice for every casual situation. For my landscape and portrait work, though, the detail, flexible controls, and dependable performance make it a rewarding camera to use regularly.
